O Ibovespa opened this Wednesday’s session (13) with a decline, but turned positive during the first deals of the day. Around noon, the index increased 0.38%, to 128,147 points.

The weakness of North American stock exchanges and the 2.53% decline in iron ore in Dalian, China, limit a more substantial rise than Ibovespa today, which has oil as one of the main catalysts. At the same time, the measured movements of the dollar and future interest rates internally reinforce this situation.

O Petroleum rises close to 2%, after a drone fired by Ukraine hit one of Russia’s largest refineries, while Bloomberg points out that oil stocks in the United States registered their first drop in seven weeks.

The empty agenda here and abroad this Wednesday, in addition to the expiry of options on the Bovespa Index, are triggers for volatility.

Furthermore, renewed concerns about risks of political interference in Petrobras and on OK they also reduce the space for a firm increase in the main B3 indicator.

After opening higher, Petrobras shares now appear negative: Petrobras ON (PETR3) falls 0.40% to R$ 37.22 and Petrobras PN (PETR4) falls 0.30% to R$ 36.71. Vale (VALE3) also operates downwards, with -0.07% at R$60.80.

Marfrig (MRFG3) leads the session’s gains with +3.20% at R$9.99, followed by Gerdau (GGBR4), +2.88% at R$22.16 and JBS (JBSS3), +2.88 % at R$ 23.20.

On the negative side, Isa Cteep (TRPL4) has the biggest loss, with -2.71% at R$24.45. Next are Pão de Açúcar (PCAR3), -2.62% at R$3.35 and Energisa (ENGI11), -1.89% at R$49.72.
