Mixed feelings dominate Asian and European markets

Asian markets traded mixed in Thursday’s session. Europe could follow the same trend.

At this point, everything is still open in relation to the easing of interest rates by the main central banks, and investors are particularly keeping an eye on the United States where new inflation data for February is coming out today.

“Markets will closely follow North American production price data, which comes out this Thursday, to see if they confirm consumer prices”, which were higher than expected, says Matt Simpson, a senior market analyst. from the City Index, cited by Bloomberg.

This expectation “seems to be suppressing the volatility of trading in Asia”, he adds, “along with the fact that this was a session without economic data”.

In Asian markets this Thursday, in China, the Hang Seng, in Hong Kong, fell 0.9% and the Shanghai Composite fell 0.4%.

In Japan, the Topix advanced 0.5% and the Nikkei rose 0.3%, interrupting four days of losses.
