Samsung announced, in an event accompanied by TudoCelular this Thursday (14), the launch of the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 in Brazil. The brand’s new mid-range cell phones arrive to continue the line’s sales success, which brings premium features with a focus on cost-benefit, including new hardware and design.

Both models will come out of the box running Android 14 with One UI 6.1, and are eligible for four Android updates. Check out all the highlights of Samsung’s new launches in Brazil below.

Galaxy A55

The Galaxy A55 has a very similar look to the Galaxy A54, but stands out for its “Key Island”, which renews the design of the power and volume buttons, highlighting them in a prominent area on the side of the device. Furthermore, this is the first in the line with a metal body which, combined with its glass back, guarantees a premium finish.

The cell phone is equipped with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) and 120 Hz refresh rate. The display reaches a peak brightness of 1,000 nits for better readability in environments with strong lighting.

At the rear, there is a 50 MP main sensor with optical stabilization (OIS), a wide-angle lens with a 12 MP sensor and a macro lens with a 5 MP sensor. On the front, the camera is 32 MP. Samsung highlights its advanced photography features, such as simultaneous recording with rear and front cameras and AI depth mapping.

The Galaxy A55 arrives on the Brazilian market with Samsung’s Exynos 1480 platform, manufactured with 4 nanometer lithography. The processor will work with a single option of 8 GB of RAM combined with 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage.
