Body of Caruaru pilot who died after plane crash removed from plane

The Technical Police Department (DPT) removed the body of pilot Jairo Souza from the debris of the aircraft that crashed after leaving Caruaru, in Agreste de Pernambuco, this Thursday (14). The victim’s body was taken to the Legal Doctor of Santo Amaro, in Recôncavo Baiano.

The plane crashed in the rural area of ​​São Sebastião do Passé, located in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador. The pilot was alone on the plane, according to information from the Military Police.

The aircraft left Caruaru and was heading to Guanambi, in the southwest of Bahia. The plane had been purchased by two businessmen from the region.

Videos circulating on social media show the moment the aircraft crashes and is soon consumed by flames. The accident frightened residents who witnessed the scene. Witnesses told the Fire Department that the aircraft lost altitude and collided with the dog.

The Second Regional Aviation Accident Investigation and Prevention Service (Seripa II) will be the body responsible for investigating the case. So far, it has not been reported what caused the accident.

Initially, the agency will collect information, preserve the elements being investigated and check the damage caused to the plane.
