Friends are convicted and imprisoned 10 years after the murder of a teenager in Blumenau

Two men were convicted this Thursday (14) for the murder of Tauana Letícia Fachini. Ten years after the crime, Rodolfo Felipe de Oliveira, the 17-year-old teenager’s boyfriend at the time, and his friend, Ingridiom Vasconcellos, sat in the dock. They were free for the murder, but last night they left the Forum straight to the penitentiary.

According to investigations, Rodolfo planned the murder of his girlfriend because he suspected betrayal. He then hired Ingridiom for R$3,000 to commit the crime in the early hours of December 20, 2013. Rodolfo received a sentence of 21 years and four months, initially in a closed regime, for qualified homicide, with the aggravating circumstances of a base motive and payment.

The process shows that Ingridiom received from Rodolfo the weapon used to give three shots in Tauana. He also shot his friend in the leg to try to throw off the police. Ingridiom was sentenced to 17 years and eight months, also in a closed regime, for the same crimes as Rodolfo, and also for corruption of minors, as he hired a teenager to ride the motorcycle used in the ambush of the victim.

Five months after the crime, Rodolfo was arrested in Goiânia and Ingridiom in Blumenau. Later, however, the two friends gained the right to respond freely. This Thursday (14) they presented themselves to the Court for the popular jury and, after the sentence was defined, they were taken to jail. At the time, when they were arrested for the first time, the teenager was already in Casep for robbery.

Remember the crime

Tauana Letícia Fachini was killed on Rua Professor Max Humpl, in the Salto do Norte neighborhood. Firefighters found the young woman in cardiorespiratory arrest, with gunshot wounds to the chest and armpit. Despite treatment, she died at the scene. Her boyfriend was injured in the leg, not seriously. That morning, the Military Police carried out patrols in the region, but no one was arrested.

Upon learning of the jury of those responsible for her daughter’s death, Fátima Regina vented on social media: “Today I am half a person, they took away a part of me. In all these years that I have visited my daughter’s grave, they have lived normally as if nothing had happened. May the punishment of these criminals bear the weight of the cowardice they committed against my daughter.”

The young woman had a two-year-old son.
