A traffic accident involving a car and a truck on BR-282, in Campos Novos, in the Midwest of Santa Catarina, caused the death of one person this Monday (18). The collision occurred around 8am, near the Quero-Quero restaurant.

According to the Military Fire Department, the two vehicles collided head-on. The driver of the car did not survive and died at the scene. The health status of the 58-year-old truck driver was not reported.
The victim has not yet been identified. According to firefighters, the body was stuck to the hardware and had to be removed by the garrison. The Federal Highway Police (PRF) was also on site providing support.
