Eliana used her Instagram profile to mourn her father’s death, José Bezerra this Tuesday (19). The presenter published photos with the retired janitor, who died at the age of 92, accompanied by a farewell text and moved internet users.
“Father, thank you for your teachings, there were many. You can’t even imagine. I will miss your beautiful smile, your kisses, your affection, your presence here at home and in our lives, but I understand that you were tired , I could see it in your eyes. I thank God for the opportunity to take care of you until the last moment”, she wrote.
“Father, from now on, as you always said, “only joy”. I’m going to cry just a little more, okay? Go in peace, I love you beyond eternity”, he concluded.
The presenter’s father’s health had been weakened since August 2022, when he suffered a stroke. The wake will be this Tuesday (19), restricted to family members. The death and information about the wake were confirmed by the presenter’s press office Who.
A retired janitor, “Seu Bezerra”, as he was affectionately called, was 92 years old. In addition to Eliana, he was the father of Helena, daughters from his marriage to Eva Michaelichen, from whom he separated in the early 2000s. After 18 years without spending time together at family gatherings, Eva and Bezerra met again in 2022.
After establishing herself in her artistic career, Eliana gave her father an apartment in the building where he was a caretaker during her childhood. The property is located in the Jardins neighborhood, an upscale area of the city of São Paulo. In her childhood memories, the presenter says that she suffered prejudice from one of the parents of the children she played with. “I don’t want my children with this janitor’s daughter,” said Eliana, in interviews, always expressing pride in her father’s work.
