Renault do Brasil has officially launched the Kardian – a compact SUV that marks the debut of the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP), positioning itself as the first vehicle manufactured in Brazil under the brand’s new visual identity.
This launch brings with it innovations such as the 125 hp TCe turbo engine with 220 Nm of torque and a wet double clutch automatic transmission.
Production takes place at the Ayrton Senna Complex, located in Paraná.
This model introduces the “Nouvel R” logo, symbolizing Renault’s renewed identity.
The front grille, characterized by its diamond shape and details that resemble a 3D diamond effect, is one of the highlights, especially in the premier edition version, which features a Black Piano finish.
Kardian’s lighting signature, made up of two LED modules on each side of the front, reinforces Renault’s visual identity.
“Full LED” headlights enhance the driving experience and add to the vehicle’s distinctive design.
The rear design follows the brand’s visual language, with C-shaped taillights.
The Kardian features a silhouette that combines robustness and compactness, equipped with roof bars capable of supporting up to 80 kg.
Dimensionally, the Kardian measures 4.12 m long, 1.75 m wide and 1.54 m high, falling into segment B.
Its 2.60 m wheelbase maximizes interior space, especially favoring rear seat passengers. The trunk, with a volume of 358 liters, stands out for its capacity.
Externally, the profile is defined by 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, available in techno and première edition versions.
Internally, the elevated console adds sophistication to the Kardian’s interior.
This console, with a storage capacity of up to eight liters, includes an armrest and four USB ports. A space dedicated to the smartphone, with a wireless induction charging system, is available in the premier edition version.
The vehicle also incorporates an “e-shifter” type gear lever, which operates by a simple touch, and an electronic parking brake, starting from the techno version.
The 7-inch digital interface on the instrument panel offers three display modes, adapting to the driver’s preferences. The 8-inch multimedia center supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wired and wireless.
The Multi-Sense system allows the driver to personalize driving and the interior environment, with Eco, Sport and My Sense mode options.
In terms of driver assistance, Kardian has 13 advanced devices, including adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning.
The vehicle also stands out for its safety, offering six airbags and an advanced electronic stability control system.
Performance is ensured by the TCe 1.0 flex turbo engine, which delivers 125 hp and 220 Nm of torque.
In terms of efficiency, urban consumption is 13.1 km/l with gasoline and 9 km/l with ethanol, according to Inmetro’s Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program.
