Campos – Fish and other products consumed during the Easter period have different prices of more than 200% (coconut milk) in Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ), according to research carried out by the Secretariat for Consumer Protection and Defense (Procon) published in this Monday (18). In the case of the Ferrero Rocher egg weighing 137.5 grams (g); in one location, the price was R$54.90 and, in the other, R$92.49, a difference of 68.47%.

According to the executive secretary of Procon, Carlos Fernando Monteiro, the survey took place in seven supermarkets, between the 12th and 16th of March: “In total, 49 items were researched, including Easter eggs, boxes of chocolates, bars chocolate, fish, grocery and horticultural products”.

The data shows that the 90 g Lacta chocolate bar was found at R$4.98 at the lowest price and at R$7.12 at the highest, a difference of 42.97%. In the fish sector, for example, hake fillet showed a variation of 129.19% and, in the grocery and fruit and vegetable sector, coconut milk (used in moqueca) had a difference of 208.33%.

Monteiro suggests that consumers compare the prices charged by different establishments, considering the quality, weight and price of the item: “For those who want to save money due to a tight budget, boxes of chocolates and chocolate bars are always good options to celebrate. the date”.
