Three teachers die in a serious accident while returning from work on BR-267, in Juiz de Fora | Wood zone

Three state school teachers teaching died in a serious accident on Tuesday night (19) on BR-267, near Bairro Igrejinha, in Juiz de Fora. They were returning from the Valadares district, where they worked at a school.

According to the PRF, the victims were in a car, which was hit by another car.

In an interview with TV Integrationthe school director, Marinez Miranda, reported that there was a fourth teacher in the vehiclewho only had minor injuries.

Three other people who were in the second car were injured. They were taken to the HPS, in Juiz de Fora, and remain stable and hospitalized this Wednesday (20).

Driely Cunha, age unknown, Roberto Costa Neto, 31, and João Fernando Gonçalves de Almeida, 37, taught History, Mathematics and Portuguese at the Maria Ilydia Resende Andrade State School, respectively.

Still according to Marinez Miranda, the employees returned from the teaching unit at around 10pm, and it was raining at the time of the accident.

On social media, the school management published a note of condolence. see below. Activities were suspended at the site this Wednesday.

In a statement, the Single Union of Education Workers of Minas Gerais (SIND-UTE/MG) also lamented the death of the teachers. O Government of Minas declared mourning and said that he provides support to the families of the dead employees.
