As you may know, after all the launches at the beginning of 2024, eyes are now on what comes next, that is, Samsung’s new foldables, which should be a reality at the beginning of summer. This is important because the manufacturer is now willing to change its strategy a little, by launching more devices, at the same time as adjusting the prices of the entire range.

Samsung Flip Generation Difference

Therefore, in addition to the new Z Flip FE and Z Fold Ultra models, which should join the already recognized Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold… Everything indicates that the Z Flip base model will also opt for another strategy that should result in a cut in price.

Ultimately, the Z Flip 6 will not feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 SoC, instead, it will rely on an Exynos 2400. This is important! After all, all Galaxy Z foldables launched so far have reached the market based on a Qualcomm SoC.

Is this negative?

Not really, in the same way that the S24 and S24+ are incredible devices despite having an Exynos 2400 instead of a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 SoC… The same can and should happen with the Z Flip 6.

However, this raises a question… If the base model of the Z Flip 6 hits the shelves with an Exynos 2400 SoC, which should mean a price adjustment, which SoC will serve as the basis for the Z Flip FE? Will Samsung opt for the same path as the S23 FE, which hit the market with an Exynos 2200? It would be interesting, but it would also be a bad sign, given that the Exynos 2200 has never been very well regarded by consumers.
