PAt least two people died this Friday in an accident involving a bus carrying kindergarten children in Texas, United States. A truck and a light vehicle were also involved in the accident.
The “major accident” occurred on Highway 21 at Caldwell Road, the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office reported.
According to ABC News, the bus was returning from a study trip to a zoo when the accident occurred. There were 55 people traveling on board the vehicle, including 44 children.
A county emergency medical services official, Austin Travis, said four people had to be transported by helicopter to the hospital.
