DHPP investigates murder of military police officer in the West Zone of Natal; case is confidential

The Civil Police are investigating the case of the death of military police officer Valdemilson Rodrigues de Freitas, which occurred on Sunday morning (24), in the Leningrad complex, in the Planalto neighborhood, West Zone of Natal. The investigations are conducted, in secrecy, by the West Zone Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP/West Zone).

The case was attended to in the early hours of Sunday morning by agents on duty from the DHPP, who passed on the information collected at the scene of the crime to the team responsible for the investigations. The Military Police and the Technical-Scientific Institute of Expertise (Itep-RN) were also at the scene.

The victim was a Military Police sergeant and was 46 years old. He was found dead near a plot of land he owned, in the Leningrad complex. Next to the police officer’s body were his pistol, vest and cell phone when the police arrived at the scene. No suspect for the crime has yet been arrested.

The Civil Police reported that they will not release information about the case, as the investigation is confidential. The corporation also said that it will release details when there is news that can be announced.

The body of Valdemilson Rodrigues de Freitas was collected by Itep. As of Monday afternoon (25), the cadaver report had not yet been completed.
