Hugo Soares, leader of the PSD parliamentarian, announced that the proposal to lower the IRS will not be voted on in parliament. The leader says that he contacted all the benches and “only the Liberal Initiative agreed to dialogue”.

“HToday, with the Government’s consent, we will propose the dismissal to the commission without voting on our proposal”, said the PSD parliamentary leader.

The changes to the IRS proposed by the PS, PCP and BE would be voted on this Wednesday, as there was a possibility that the measures would be debated in the parliamentary committee without voting in the hemicycle.

O CM You know that there were talks between parties during the morning, namely with PS and Chega. One of the issues on the table was the possibility of the proposal not being voted on this Wednesday, but automatically going to debate in the parliamentary committee.

However, this would only happen if the starting point of the negotiation is a greater reduction in the IRS at the lowest levels, a demand from Chega. To the CMAndré Ventura, party leader, confirmed that he proposed negotiations to the PSD to reach this solution, and is awaiting a response.
