A report from the São Paulo Scientific Police proved that there was no violence in the death of Lívia Gabrielle, aged 19, and that neither she nor football player Dimas Cândido used drugs or alcohol before she died. The document was obtained by Fantasticfrom TV Globo.

The report was completed last week, and says that there were no fractures or lethal signs of violence on the young student’s body. The player’s sperm was also not found in her body, which proves that the two used protection during the relationship.

Lívia died due to a 5 cm rupture in the rectouterine excavation, the part of the body that is between the uterus and the rectum. According to the report, the injury was caused by a “blunt object”, not specified by the authorities.

To the Fantastic, experts said that she died of hemorrhage with hemorrhagic shock, and that the injury may have been caused by her intimate relationship with the player, but that the case is rare. The case would have been a fatality that occurred due to an anatomical issue. In cases of bleeding, it is important that care is provided quickly.

The hemorrhage may not have caused pain, but it is possible that the young woman felt the problem already in a state of hemorrhagic shock, with symptoms such as dizziness, tachycardia and loss of consciousness, according to experts.

Dimas’ defense says that the player was “witness to a fatality”, and that the reports show that there was consent in the relationship and there was no violence. Lívia’s family did not want to comment on the case.

Samu service

O Fantastic showed a statement from the Samu doctor responsible for the case. She informed the police that the ambulance was unable to enter the building because the vehicle would not be able to pass through the parking lot. Therefore, the rescue team had to walk approximately 100 meters to the building and climb to the eighth floor.

Dimas was found giving Lívia a cardiac massage, and speaking on the phone with a Samu attendant, when the team arrived at the apartment. The doctor took over the emergency, and there was no need to apply restraint because the young woman was not actively bleeding in her body.

The building’s surveillance cameras showed that one of the rescuers returned to the ambulance to get a manual resuscitator, which is used in cases of respiratory failure, because the one they had taken was not working properly.

From the call for help until Lívia was admitted to a hospital, it took 51 minutes. The student suffered two cardiorespiratory arrests in the apartment and two more before dying.

The police are investigating the case as a suspicious death, and medical reports will be analyzed to confirm whether Lívia had any illness. Dimas’ defense criticized the delay in treating Samu. The City of São Paulo said that the ambulance arrived at the building in 11 minutes, and that the rescuers were detained at the entrance. He also stated that the service took place within the time specified in the service protocol.

Understand the case

Nursing student Lívia Gabrielle, 19, and football player Dimas Cândido, 18, arranged to meet on January 30th at his apartment. The two had known each other since last year and had been chatting via messages frequently for at least three months.

They had intimate relations at the player’s house, and after a second relationship, the situation became complicated. According to Dimas, the young woman had a sudden illness, fainted, and he noticed her bleeding. She was hospitalized, and he helped the medical team contact her family.

Samu was called by the player about an hour after the woman was at his house. He was instructed to provide first aid.

After witnessing the death of Lívia Gabrielle, Dimas left São Paulo and went to Minas Gerais, where he trains for Coimbra. The athlete still has a loan contract with Corinthians, the club to which he was transferred last year. Your contract runs until 2025.
