A 32-year-old man was arrested red-handed in Cajati, in the interior of São Paulo, after killing his wife Kerolen Dini, 35, in Uberlândia (MG). In a statement to the Civil Police, he confessed that he waited for her to sleep before hanging her after a fight in which the victim showed jealousy of his ex-wife.
The Military Police (PM) said they had received a report that a woman had been beaten by her husband and was possibly dead. The agents were called after the man told his family that he had hanged his wife and needed money to escape Uberlândia (MG).
As soon as the police arrived at the residence, they smelled a strong smell and saw that the door was closed. The property was opened and the victim was found dead on a mattress, covered with a cloth on Monday (25). Due to the condition of the body, agents believe she was killed a day or two before the encounter.
After killing his wife, the man borrowed money from a friend. He got on a bus to Itumbiara (GO) and, from there, took another bus to Curitiba (PR). During the journey, the police were called and approached the bus on Rodovia Régis Bittencourt, in Cajati, on Monday (25).
The man was arrested for feminicide and taken to the city police station. After confessing to the crime, he was sent to the Registro (SP) jail.
