Andrezinho detailed Anderson’s battle for life: “’He’s always wanting to fight, he really wants to live, he’s fighting a lot. We are all with him in this chain. Let’s try to make this work and he’ll be okay. Everyone has to be strong, right?”, he explained.

Anderson was readmitted to the hospital in the early hours of Monday, the 25th, after being discharged on the 19th. He was diagnosed with cancer in the inguinal region in October 2022 and, since then, has undergone procedures to treat the disease.

Andrezinho also reported moments when Anderson demonstrated his determination and humor, even in the face of his condition. “He woke up, sang, spoke to people. But then he was sedated again because he was too agitated to calm him down. But the doctors said there might be a glimmer of hope that he might come back.”

Inguinal cancer, which affects the singer’s penis and anus region, was discovered in October 2022. Anderson’s disease had gone into remission in January last year. In May 2023, he resumed treatment.

On the 13th, the singer underwent the hypogastric nerve plexus block procedure, which treats cancer patients’ pain by blocking the nerve in the region. He was discharged from hospital on Tuesday, the 19th. But, he had to return to the hospital now, six days after returning home.
