S. Miguel prepares the Feast of the Lord of Good Death on April 7th
The Confraria do Senhor da Boa Morte is organizing the grand celebration of the Lord of the Good Death and the First Communion of the children of S. Miguel, which will take place on April 7th.
In addition to the Festival, the Brotherhood of Senhor da Boa Morte is also raising funds for the restoration of the image of Senhor da Boa Morte, as well as for painting the Chapel, restoring its stained glass window and painting the interior of the mortuary chapels.
The Brotherhood continues to hold fundraisers for the celebration, which will be accompanied by the Vizela Philharmonic Band, the S. Miguel Scout Group and the Active Corps of Vizela Volunteer Firefighters. “Many parishioners have already contributed and the Brotherhood thanks everyone who has already contributed to the collection and all those who may still contribute”, says the Brotherhood.
On the 7th, at 10:30 am, the Feast Eucharist and First Communion will take place, and the Philharmonic Band will perform at 4:00 pm in the Churchyard Bandstand. The Afternoon Prayer is scheduled for 5pm and the Majestic Procession of Senhor da Boa will take to the streets at 6pm
