A 78-year-old driver was seriously injured after being involved in an accident with a trailer loaded with soybeans on the BR-242, a section of the city of Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in western Bahia. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the accident happened on Thursday night (28).
The car the elderly woman was driving was completely destroyed after the accident. The glass, doors and even the roof of the car were unable to withstand the impact. [Veja a foto acima]
The accident happened on the same day and on the same highway where three passengers in a pickup truck died after their vehicle collided with a truck. The accident with three deaths occurred in the Ibotirama section, a city 299 km from Luís Eduardo Magalhães.
According to the PRF, there is still no information about what caused the accident in the Luís Eduardo Magalhães section. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The 78-year-old woman was alone in the vehicle and was attended to by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). She was taken to Hospital do Oeste, in Barreiras, and there is no information about her health status.
