A video circulating on social media shows the moment in which a minibus advances over a procession in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, municipality of Pernambuco, this Sunday afternoon (31/3). According to the Fire Department, four people died in the accident. The driver fled the scene.

The Prazeres Police Station is investigating the case. The Pernambuco Civil Police are trying to locate and identify the driver of the vehicle.
A preliminary report from the Fire Department indicates that seven people were initially treated. A man, aged 67, and two women, aged 53 and 50, were rescued and taken to Hospital da Restauração. There is no information about the health status of the victims.
The Military Police and the Criminalistics Institute (IC) are at the scene of the accident.
The mayor of Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Bro Medeirosreported that municipal relief and investigation teams are on site to provide all the necessary support to the victims of this Sunday’s accident.
“We are closely monitoring the entire situation of the serious accident, which occurred in Marcos Freire, involving a minibus and killing several people”, wrote the politician on the social network X, formerly Twitter.
