Arouca refuses to continue negotiating with Braga regarding the departure of Daniel Sousa. Braga did not come close to the million euros required.
The possibility of Daniel Sousa heading to Braga fell apart. According to the newspaper Record, the president of Arouca, Carlos Pinho, defined the price to sell the coach: one million euros. As the arsenalists did not come close to this value, the line of negotiations ended and there is no possibility of resumption.
Daniel Sousa is, according to the same source, out of touch with these negotiations and fully focused on keeping Arouca in the first half of the championship, at a time when the Primeira Liga.
Braga was, however, associated with Veljko Paunovic, a rumor that the president of Arouca believes is not innocent and planted to encourage the Arouca people to accept a lower price.
Artur Jorge, Braga’s current coach, is on his way to Botafogo, so the Minho team are looking to secure the hiring of a new name for the club’s bench.
