Multi (formerly Multilaser) announced the launch of four new Chromebooks aimed at educational use in the Brazilian market. The models have very basic configurations, but come with the Google Education suite of applications already installed.

“Our commitment is to offer affordable and quality products, so that everyone can have access to resources that boost learning and digital inclusion,” declared Fernando Nogueira, product director for the company. “The Chromebook line is an example of this vision, designed to meet the specific needs of the education sector without compromising security or quality.”

The manufacturer did not provide details about each device, but disclosed that the models are the PC914. PC915, PC918 and PC924. The most advanced is the last on the list, coming with an Intel Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Evidently, all four options use ChromeOS.

Unfortunately, Multi did not provide a launch date for the products, nor their price, which is usually the biggest attraction for devices like these.

Acer also offers new Chromebook option

Google was interested in promoting the presence of Chromebooks as an educational platform here in Brazil this month. In addition to Multi’s news, another partner of the technology giant also offers its option, Acer.

The Chromebook 311 was also announced, with some more details about its screen and capabilities. You can read more about it by clicking here.
