The Health Department of Limeira (SP) confirmed this Monday (1st) the third death from dengue in the city in 2024. The victim is an 88-year-old man who had comorbidities.

In addition to the three deaths, Limeira has a total of 998 confirmed cases of dengue. Another death, of a 44-year-old woman, is under investigation by the department. Furthermore, the death of a 91-year-old man, which was suspected, was ruled out as dengue fever.

The Health Department informed that prevention campaigns and actions to combat dengue are permanent in Limeira. “The folder also reinforces the importance of the population taking 10 minutes a week to eliminate possible breeding sites for the Aedes aegypti mosquito, since the focus of the disease is mainly in the backyards of homes.”

With the results of the exam, the region reaches six confirmed deaths caused by dengue. Check out the list below.
