After traffic accident, man shoots driver in attempted murder in Lomba do Pinheiro

Last Sunday, a garrison from the 19th BPM was called to respond to a traffic accident in Lomba do Pinheiro neighborhood, in Porto Alegre. Arriving at the scene, the police heard firearm shots and spotted a 30-year-old individual, known for involvement in homicideswhich was addressed.

Witnesses reported that the man threw the fire gun upon noticing the police approaching. After a search, the police found a .38 caliber revolver with four fired cartridges. The suspect was detained in the act.

Before the shooting, the individual was involved in a traffic accident, in which two people were injured. After the accident, he became aggressive and fired shots, hitting a driver of another car who stopped to help and ended up being shot in the back.

The suspect was taken to the police station and will be held in custody. Authorities continue to investigate the case to clarify all the details.
