Reynaldo Gianecchini has a full schedule. The actor is about to debut in the film A happy family in cinemas, in which he plays the husband of Grazi Massafera’s character, and will also live a drag queen in the musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

His character in the film made him feel a taste of fatherhood, which he hasn’t had the chance to experience in real life.

It was a delight to exercise this side. I wanted to experience this fatherhood that I have never experienced in my life. That was one of the reasons that made me accept this project. Even though I’m a great uncle and love kids, I haven’t had the experience of fatherhood. I have a lot of passion for characters who live stories different from mine. There was a day when he wouldn’t stop crying, and I picked him up and managed to get him to sleep. That day I had a tear. I started crying with emotion because I managed to make a child calm down and sleepsaid in an interview with the newspaper Extra.

And he continued:

If I am, when I am, if I ever become a father, I will be a great father. I like educating children, I have patience and I enjoy it. But it’s not a concern. A child comes from a moment, from your decision, because you want it. In my case, it would be if I had a really incredible partnership and I thought it was time. I have no desire to have an independent child. One day, who knows, if I have a partnership and want to have one. Could it be. That hypothesis exists, but it’s not a big concern for me.

Regarding the challenge of interpreting a drag queen in the musical, he said:

It takes me out of my comfort zone: a drag queen in a musical. Drag art is cooler, more difficult and complex things. It’s a beautiful art that I want to praise. They are very complete, they have humor, they are funny, they change their appearance, they have those exuberant costumes, they sing, they dance, it is a universe of an artist of gigantic grandeur. I’m taking a lot of intensive dance and singing classes. It’s not just dancing, it’s dancing in heels 15. This work really excites me. I have a lot of respect for my work and I always want to enhance the characters I play. I’m taking it very seriously. I take a lot of classes, and it’s a learning process. And I’m happy that everyone says they are overcoming obstacles.
