A 24-year-old man was arrested on Monday night (1st) with 15 bundles of cocaine and three rocks of cocaine base paste. In addition to the drugs, a sum of money, in US dollars and reais, and firearm ammunition were also seized. The incident took place in the Pricumã neighborhood, west of Boa Vista.
According to the Military Police, the team was patrolling the neighborhood when they saw the suspect with a bag. When he saw the team he tried to run away to get rid of the bag.
When approaching the young man, a cell phone, dollar and real bills and five bundles of cocaine were found in his pocket. The rest of the seized drugs, two scissors and a precision scale were found in the backpack.
The young man confessed that he was selling the drug. The suspect also said that he lived in a hotel room and that there were more drugs there.
Nine 9 mm caliber ammunition, a small bundle of marijuana and a cell phone were found in the room.
The young man was sent to the 1st Platoon of the Independent Rapid Intervention Group (GIRO).
