He was identified as Adrian Pereira Teles, aged 23 and born in Caxias do Sul, the body of man found dead on Sunday, 03/31, in a waterfall in the interior of the city. According to the General Institute of Expertise (IGP), Teles’ family recognized him by his tattoos and contributed documentation that coincided with the forensic data.

The young man’s body was in a difficult to access point, in Arroio Belo, close to Estrada Municipal do Vinho, in the district of Vila Cristina. The incident was attended to in the afternoon.

A team from the Fire Department had to use a rappel maneuver, descending approximately 150 meters into the waterfall, to remove the body. The action lasted more than six hours, according to the corporation. The Military Brigade (BM) also provided assistance in providing assistance.

According to the IGP, it will be possible to indicate whether the body shows signs of violence or not only with the results of the necropsy, which must be issued within 30 days. The Civil Police investigates the case.
