An incident showed boldness and violence in the Nova Teresina neighborhood, east of the capital, after a brutal crime on Tuesday night (02). Valdecir Silva Sousa, 52 years old, had his home invaded and was killed by bandits who announced themselves as police officers, before committing the murder.

Reports indicate that the criminals approached Valdecir’s house and, when they shouted that they were from the police, provoked an instinctive reaction from the victim, who went to the door in an attempt to contain them. It was at this moment of vulnerability that Valdecir was hit by the first shot, which went through the door and hit him in the chest, followed by a series of shots that culminated in his death.

The crime scene, now isolated, was examined by forensic experts who identified at least six bullet holes in the victim’s body, demonstrating the violence of the attack. These shots, according to information, mainly hit Valdecir’s frontal region, including his chest, right shoulder and left arm, as detailed by forensic professionals. Valdecir’s wife, also present at the time of the crime, escaped unharmed.
