The murder of José Fabiano Braga do Nascimento, 35 years old, was one of three deaths recorded on Tuesday night (02) in Teresina. The case shocked drivers passing through Avenida Ministro Sérgio Mota, in Parque Wall Ferraz, Santa Maria da Codipi region.
In videos shared on messaging apps, people in cars parked on the road to wait for the rain to subside were filming the waters when suddenly four gunshots were heard. The frightened occupants of the vehicle lowered their cell phones and stopped recording. In another video, a person cries while a man describes what happened.
“We stopped to let the rain pass and the guy shot the other guy there and we just heard the popcorn from inside the car” the man narrates in the video.
The execution took place at 7:40 pm and around 11 9 mm ammunition capsules were found at the scene. According to delegate Robert Lavor, from the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection – DHPP, the suspects may have fired more shots and due to the force of the rainwater, the material may have been taken from the scene.
“It is possible that capsules and cases could have been washed away by the rain. But we are in the field and we will soon be able to solve this case”, she concluded.

A video in which a man appears with a firearm making threats that would be aimed at rivals from a criminal faction is being attributed to the victim on messaging applications. The family itself told the police that it would be José Fabiano in the image and that after sharing it, the victim would have received threats.
“The family themselves said that there was this video and there is a video circulating among the groups, but we are still going to investigate this situation because it is an old video. We have teams in the field surveying security cameras that can reveal the dynamics of the crime. At the time it was raining heavily and people who were passing through the place, known as Feirinha, were unable to see where the shots came from,” said delegate Robert Lavor.
