NIn a note sent to the Social Communication, Rita Júdice states that, “as founder and first president of the Order of Solicitors and Execution Agents (OSAE), José Carlos Resende made an invaluable contribution to the Portuguese legal order”.

José Carlos Resende died today, aged 69, in Viana do Castelo, according to a municipal source in the city.

José Carlos Resende was president of the Chamber of Solicitors from 2011 until the creation of OSAE, in 2015, the year in which he became its first president, until 2022.

Born in Porto, José Carlos Resende settled in Viana do Castelo after April 25, 1974, the city where he founded the local delegation of the Popular Democratic Union (UDP).

For 25 years he led the PS bench in the Municipal Assembly of Viana do Castelo.

Among other functions, he was president of the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Viana do Castelo and founding partner of Rádio Alto Minho.

The body will be in a burning chamber at the Viana do Castelo municipal mortuary and will be sent to the Matosinhos crematorium on Thursday.
