Great news at PSG. Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico is about to return to training after being caught between life and death following a serious accident while riding almost a year ago. According to an official statement from the Paris club this Tuesday (23), the player will undergo preparatory medical examinations for his return to activities under the command of coach Luis Enrique.

The accident happened while the Spanish goalkeeper was on holiday with his family in Huelva, Spain, when he fell from his horse, being trampled between his head and neck. He was taken to a hospital in Seville in serious condition and was in a coma for 25 days. After regaining consciousness, he spent a few more days in the ICU. In total, Sergio Rico spent almost three months in the hospital.

However, the goalkeeper still has no plans to appear again among those listed for PSG games. Leader of the French Championship with an 11 point advantage over second place, PSG can guarantee the title in the next round. To do this, they need to beat Le Havre, on Saturday (26), and hope that second-place Monaco doesn’t beat Lyon, on Sunday (27).
