Victim of feminicide last Saturday (20) and found dead yesterday (22), Cristiane Eufrásio Millan, 42, already had a “premeditated destiny” by the perpetrator, according to information passed on this Tuesday (23) by delegate Elaine Benicassa of Specialized Police Station for Women’s Assistance (Deam). Diagnosed with schizophrenia, the man considered the woman “impure” and “unworthy to live.”
“This was a premeditated crime and carried out with disproportionate cruelty. The perpetrator had previously hired the victim’s services”, explained the delegate.

According to the investigation, the crime was motivated by the author’s belief, which considered women who work as call girls to be “impure”. “He expressed during the interrogation that, according to his beliefs, these women should not survive,” Benicassa said. After the murder, Cristiane’s body was left in the shape of a crucifix inside the residence for two days.
He initially confessed the crime to his family on Monday, and then sought psychiatric help at the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS), where he eventually confessed to the crime. “He would go out, carry out normal activities, such as buying food, and return to the house where the body still remains,” added the delegate.
The police also collected reports from a neighbor who heard screams and loud music on the day of the crime, but did not suspect the seriousness of the situation. To date, there are no medical reports presented that fully corroborate Sérgio’s psychiatric condition, although he is undergoing treatment and monitoring. Cristiane is the fifth woman killed by femicide this year in Campo Grande.
