Woman arrested for drunk driving after crashing car into vehicle involved in another accident, police say | West and Southwest

A woman was arrested for drunk driving after crashing into vehicles involved in another accident on PR-585, in Toledo, in western Paraná, in the early hours of Wednesday (24), according to the State Highway Police (PRE).

According to the police, the driver of a truck was traveling along the highway and after a curve, hit the side of a car that was coming in the opposite direction. The 36-year-old driver of the truck was not injured, while the 47-year-old driver of the car died at the scene.

During the accident response, the police state that the road was marked with cones, and the vehicles had giroflex on, at which time a third vehicle, driven by the 42-year-old woman, hit one of the vehicles involved in the previous crash. There were no injuries.

She underwent a breathalyzer test which resulted in 0.43 Mg/l. She was arrested and taken to the Civil Police Station for suspected drunk driving.
