Total value of B3

In 2024, these companies will accumulate a decline of US$927 billion

The loss of market value of five US companies in 2024 is equivalent to the total price of B3. This is what a survey by Elos Ayta Consultoria – Einar Rivero points out. The survey was released this Wednesday (24).

According to the data, in 2024, the five US companies with the biggest losses will accumulate a decline of US$927 billion. In other words, the value is higher than the total market value of all Brazilian companies on B3. As of April 23, Brazilian companies are worth US$908 billion.

American companies

According to the consultancy, Apple leads the list, with a drop of US$417 billion. It is a value close to the sum of the nine largest companies on B3, which together are worth US$424 billion.

Next comes Tesla, with a drop of US$329 billion. This value can be compared to the sum of the six largest companies listed on B3, which together are worth US$335 billion.

Intel is third on the list. In this case, the drop is US$67 billion, an amount that would allow acquiring all shares in Ambev and Weg. Together, they are worth around US$67 billion.

In fourth place, we have Adobe, with a drop of US$60 billion. This is a value slightly higher than that of the second largest Brazilian company, Itaú Unibanco, which has a market value of US$57 billion.

Finally, we have Boeing, in fifth place, with a drop of US$54 billion. The value is very close to that of Vale, valued at US$52 billion.

Comparison

At the end of 2023, the market value of these five North American companies was 4.33 times higher than the total value of all B3 companies. On April 23, 2024, this ratio fell to 3.85 times, according to the survey.

On April 23, 2024, the sum of all companies listed in the US was US$50.7 trillion, a value 56 times higher than the total number of companies listed on B3”, highlights the survey.
