According to data from Edenred Ticket Log, they reveal a significant increase in the price of a liter of ethanol in the South Region during the first half of April. According to the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), which monitors the prices charged at gas stations, the average price of ethanol rose 1.24%, reaching R$4.07 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of gasoline remained stable, closing at R$5.85 per liter.

Furthermore, the survey showed that common diesel registered an increase of 1.03%, being sold at R$ 5.86 per liter, while the S-10 type had an increase of 0.34%, reaching R$ 5 .88 per liter.

Although the South Region has the lowest average diesel price across the country, all states recorded an increase in prices. The exception was Rio Grande do Sul, where both ethanol and gasoline became cheaper. Notably, ethanol was considered the most economical fuel to supply in Paraná and Santa Catarina.

Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil, highlights the relevance of ethanol as a more economical and ecologically advantageous alternative. He highlights that, in addition to being less polluting, ethanol contributes to low-carbon mobility, highlighting its importance in a context of environmental concerns and the search for sustainable solutions.
