One accident on RS-020involving a car and a pickup truck, left a 28 year old woman deadat early this Thursday (25). The collision happened around 1h at km 6 of the highway, in Gravataiat metropolitan region of Porto Alegre.

According to the Military Brigade Road Command (CRBM)one Hilux truck hit the rear of the victim’s vehicle, Sandero. The strong collision resulted in serious injuries to the driver of the car, who needed to be urgently taken to hospital. Despite the efforts of the medical team, she did not survive her injuries and died. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
O truck driver, in turn, did not suffer serious injuries. However, he refused to take a breathalyzer test, which raised suspicions about his drunk driving. Upon refusal, the man was taken to the police station to give a statement and answer for the traffic crimes that may have caused the accident.
