Riding a Harley-Davidson, motorcyclist dies instantly after accident in the center of Curitiba; witness saw crack

A motorcyclist died instantly after getting lost on a high speed bump and crashing into a parked car on Rua Emiliano Perneta, in the center of Curitiba. The collision happened on Wednesday (24) and the passenger in the car, who had just gotten out, said that the man was competing in a race.

The collision happened near the intersection with Rua Voluntários da Pátria. After getting lost on the speed bump, the man, with a Harley-Davidson, dragged the motorcycle for a few meters, until it crashed into the car, a Logan.

The vehicle belonged to an app driver. Both the driver and the passenger called emergency services to try to help the motorcyclist, but he died instantly.

“Unfortunately, the victim was already dead at the scene. The doctor arrived, evaluated him, found a TBI, performed cardiac monitoring, but there was nothing he could do. It was more to the head, a serious injury, which probably caused death. When When we arrived he still had his helmet on, but it wasn’t enough, the impact was too big”

Witness saw crack

The man was approximately 50 years old. The passenger in the app car, who works as a teacher, said she was sure it was competing in a race with another motorcycle, which did not stop after the accident.

The motorcyclist’s body was taken to the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) in Curitiba. A team from the Military Police Traffic Battalion (BPTran) registered a report of the accident.
