“The government is killing our police officers”, says military officer about devaluation

The president of the Association of Military Police Officers of Acre, Jean Messias, was one of the class representatives who criticized the management of the Gladson Cameli government in relation to the devaluation of public security agents during a public hearing at the Legislative Assembly this Thursday, 25 .

“Most of our police officers are tired. And this is the state government’s fault. Today public security is the worst in Brazil because we are a drug trafficking corridor. Factions grew. The PM needs extra services to survive. The government is killing our police officers because we have a much greater burden. We are asking for help. We don’t need any more excuses from the LRF. We need to know what the government is doing to improve our remuneration”, highlighted Messias.

According to the union leader, the violence is not worse because the police are deploying themselves. “We received a promotion and earned 169 reais more, and net this becomes 130. It increases our responsibility, but does not increase our salary. Today the military police work for 3, the criminal police work for 4. Public security is in the ICU and at some point this bill will arrive and be much heavier if we don’t do anything today”, he highlighted.
