The dollar opened lower today, reversing part of the previous day’s gains, while investors await the full PCE report, which is the main inflation index observed by the Fed in its monetary policy decisions.
In Brazil, the IPCA-15, a preview of the country’s official inflation, slowed again in April, to 0.21%, below the LSEG consensus, which predicted a monthly increase of 0.3% and 2.6% on an annual basis.
The Central Bank will hold an auction of up to 12 thousand traditional currency swap contracts for the purpose of rolling over the maturity date of July 1, 2024.

The American currency starts today’s session in the red, one day after advancing against the real, with quarterly inflation above expectations, which should keep economists pessimistic about the possibility of the Fed promoting any interest rate cuts in the short term.
