Celebrities mourned the death of Anderson Leonardo, this Friday (26). The announcement of his death was published on the official profile of the group Molejo on Instagram. The artist had been treating cancer in the inguinal region, in the groin area, since 2022. In March, he was also hospitalized to treat kidney failure.
This Friday morning (26), Anderson Leonardo’s health worsened. He was admitted to the Intensive Treatment Unit (ICU) of Hospital Unimed, in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
On their networks, the artist’s team published the announcement of his death. The singer leaves four children, Alissa, Leozinho Bradock, Rafael Felipe and Alice. The latter, the youngest, was born in 2020, after the artist was already a grandfather:
“Our warrior ANDERSON LEONARDO fought bravely, but unfortunately was defeated by cancer, but he will always be remembered by all his family, friends and his immense legion of fans, for his genius, strength and love of the stage and MOLEJO. His presence and joy were a light that illuminated the lives of everyone around him, and he will be deeply missed and never forgotten, we love you.”
Participation in the Meeting
In January 2023, Anderson celebrated being cured of cancer, after the end of the first proposed treatment. The tumor in the groin area was reported to the public months before, in October 2022. “The good thing is that I underwent my treatment, I didn’t miss a day. I was eager to start and, thank God, I was cured with the strength of these guys”, he said in “Encontro com Patrícia Poeta”.
The singer also recalled what it was like when he discovered the disease: “I told them that I had good news and great news: ‘The great news is that you’ll be with me for a long time and the good news is that I have cancer, but I’m going to get cured'” , recalled the artist. Anderson praised the support of Molejo’s colleagues.
