The 10-year-old girl shot in the head in Ponta Grossa, in Campos Gerais do Paraná, had brain death confirmed this Friday afternoon (26) by the Maternal and Child Hospital of the State University of Ponta Grossa.
According to police, one of the men arrested is responsible for the shooting. A third suspect remains at large. The two adults arrested this Thursday must face charges of attempted murder and corruption of minors.
Shots were motivated by argument
According to police, the fight between the men began after one of the suspects had an argument with the man who was at the convenience and a friend of his.
The two would have passed in front of the suspect’s house listening to music and making a gun sign with their hands.
Because of this, on the 15th, one of the suspects shot at the man’s car. At the time of the crime, according to the corporation, four children were in the vehicle. None of them were hit, according to delegate Luiz Gustavo Timossi, responsible for the investigations.
On Monday (22), two men went to the convenience to check if the target was there, at which point they had an argument.
Then, two other men pass by the place on a motorcycle and fire firearms.
A RPC found that the girl’s father said in his statement that he was having a barbecue in one of the houses across the street and left her at the convenience so she could play with the owner’s daughter.
Afterwards, people who were at the scene began to shout, drawing attention to the children and asking for help. The girl’s father arrives and, upon seeing his injured daughter, claims that they killed the child.
“They killed my girl. They killed my daughter.”
One of the shots hit the child in the head, according to police.
