App driver has car taken during robbery and suspect suffers accident shortly afterwards | Minas Gerais

An app driver had his car stolen on Monday afternoon (29) in the Center of Betim, in Greater BH. The 28-year-old suspect was involved in an accident shortly after the crime and suffered minor injuries.

The driver, aged 33, told the military that he received a race request around 5:30 p.m.but when he arrived at the location, he was warned that the race it would be for someone else. He accepted the trip and the suspect boarded the vehicle.

The man asked the driver to stop at a nearby police station, saying that I would need to get documentation. The victim claims that the suspect quickly entered and left the police unit, and also claimed that the person who would pay for the trip was at the city courthouse.

According to the driver’s report to the police, the victim was suspicious of the behavior passenger, but still continued with the trip. When they arrived at the Betim Forum, the suspect noticed that there were no vehicles nearby and announced the robbery.

A victim was threatened with death and had to drive to the location ordered by the robber. When stopping the car, the suspect tied the driver’s hands with a phone charger cord and was left on the side of the road. BR-381.

During the escape, the suspect ended up losing control of the vehicle and falling into an embankment.. He suffered minor injuries and was arrested by police.
