Police arrest seven suspects in the death of a lawyer and client in the interior of RN | large northern river

At least seven people were arrested and taken to the headquarters of the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP)in Natal, until 8am.

Brenda and Janielson were shot dead inside the lawyer’s car, on January 30, shortly after leaving the police station in the municipality of Santo Antônio. The crime took place in broad daylight approximately 600 meters from the police station.

The investigation is conducted by the Homicide and Personal Protection Division (DHPP), with support from the Police Intelligence Directorate, through the Qualified Investigation Center (NIQ), the 6th Regional Police Station of Nova Cruz and the 66th Police Station of Santo Antonio.

According to the Civil Police, more details of this operation will be released later this Tuesday (30).

A video recorded by security cameras shows the moment the lawyer’s car was intercepted by at least four people who were on two motorcycles. The criminals shoot at the occupants of the vehicle.

The driver tried to escape the shots, accelerated the vehicle, but ended up leaving the road and hitting a parked bus. The criminals go to the place and shoot her and the client again. The client’s family members were in the back of the car and were not hit.

Two days later, Janielson was arrested in Arez and taken to the police station to give a statement. He and his lawyer were killed shortly after leaving the police unit.

The double murder took place in the city center, around 600 meters away from the police station where the victims had just left. Janielson’s family members were also in the vehicle and were not injured.

Investigations showed that the crime had been committed out of revenge, ordered and planned by the “cowboy’s” family and friends. Janielson would be the main target of the ambush.
