Video captures drunk man beating his opponent to death next to market

Security cameras at a market located in Vila Rica (1,263 km from Cuiabá) caught Gabriel Vitor Garrido dos Santos killing a 52-year-old man with several wooden blows. The brutality was recorded in the early hours of Tuesday (30). According to the police report, the suspect claimed that he was disrespected and threatened by the victim. He was arrested shortly after the brutal murder.

According to police records, the owner of the market called the Military Police reporting that there was a seriously injured person at the scene. The city’s medical team was also called and upon arriving at the crime scene, they found that the victim was apparently lifeless, covered in blood. The team performed first aid, however, the man died upon arrival at the hospital.

The police spoke to the businesswoman, who reported that the man was sitting at a table drinking alcohol in the company of a woman. The attacker, drunk, arrived later and started an argument with the victim, claiming to have been disrespected and threatened by her.

At one point, he picked up a piece of wood to attack the victim, but was restrained by the owner of the place and left. Minutes later, as recorded in the recordings, the suspect returned with a piece of wood and attacked the victim, striking three blows to the head, leaving the suspect unable to react. Once again, the owner intervened to prevent further attacks, but it was too late, as the man had been attacked with several blows.

The killer was arrested and the case was forwarded to the Civil Police for appropriate action.
