A 34-year-old man was found dead in a burned vehicle on Monday night (29), in the Ganchinho neighborhood, in Curitiba. The victim, who lived in Fazenda Rio Grande, worked as a freelancer and was cutting trees in the region, close to the border with São José dos Pinhais.
According to information from family members, during the afternoon of this Monday (29), the man revealed that he had received some threats. In the evening, it was the relatives themselves who found the car on fire on Jacob Wosniak Street.
“The family members who found the charred vehicle called the Military Police teams. They reported that there was an argument between this family member, in a village nearby, and that this individual also has no whereabouts, they only knew that the vehicle was in this location”, commented Lieutenant Taborda.
Family members did not reveal details about what this disagreement was and why the man was threatened. “They have no idea about the disagreement. He was a self-employed worker, with no history of aggression, and also did not have any type of debt. So it is difficult to know the authorship and real motivation of the crime”, added Taborda.
The victim’s body was found in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The worker leaves behind a wife and two young children.
After the man’s body was found charred in the vehicle, some residents of the Ganchinho neighborhood spoke to the Paraná Military Police (PMPR) team. Neighbors reported that during the afternoon, the same car that was found on fire was caught performing dangerous maneuvers in the region.
One of the residents said that after the vehicle did a ‘wheelie’, gunshots were heard. The possibility that someone was bothered by the attitude cannot be ruled out.
The case is investigated by the Homicide and Personal Protection Division of the Paraná Civil Police.
