Just like Samsung, Google can’t keep secrets. After a series of accurate leaks regarding the Pixel 8a, the company’s future mid-range cell phone appears again in new promotional images shared by Smartprix with possible price details.
According to the website, the Pixel 8a will maintain a price of US$499 (around R$2,600) for the base version with 128 GB of internal storage.
Anyone interested in more storage will have to pay a little more to purchase the new 256 GB option, which can be offered at US$559 (~R$2,900).
In addition to the price, new leaked promotional images show the Pixel 8a in its already expected four color options: green, white, black and blue.
The most recent rumors indicate that the Pixel 8a will be launched with Google’s Tensor G3 processor, the same high-performance chipset used in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, as well as a brighter screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The intermediary must also have IP67 certification for resistance against water and dust, in addition to the standard 7 years of operating system updates, keeping Android updated until 2031.
Reinforcing once again the debut of Google’s artificial intelligence resources, one of the leaked images shows the Circle to Search in use highlighting one of the various features present.
We also hope that the options Best Take to swap faces in a group selfie, Audio Magic Eraser for noise cancellation in video and MagicEditor to modify the image with AI are integrated into the smartphone.
Other features of the smartphone include a larger 4,500 mAh battery (instead of the predecessor’s 4,385 mAh) and a dual rear camera with a 64 MP main sensor.
The Pixel 8a should be announced during the Google I/O event scheduled to take place in two weeks, more precisely on May 14th.
