A 47-year-old pedestrian was injured after being run over and dragged by a car in Vila Sion, in Montes Claros, on Monday night (29). The suspicion is that the victim was lying on the public road.

The driver, who works with an app car, told the police that he was transporting two passengers and when entering Rosângela Brandão Street he heard a ‘knock’, sounding like there was something underneath the vehicle. After traveling a few meters, he was alerted by passengers that something was stuck in the car.

As soon as he parked, the driver saw the man trapped between the wheels and with his head suspended from the gear, and his legs between the engine and the bumper. The same version was confirmed by passengers.

A team of firefighters was called and had to use chocks and hydraulic tools to stabilize and lift the vehicle. The man was then removed from under the car and passed on to a Samu team who took him to Santa Casa.

The PM reported that he had mild traumatic brain injury, suspected fracture and abrasions.

Family members told police that the victim uses alcohol immoderately and is used to lying around in the streets. Civil Police experts were at the scene of the accident and carried out the usual work.
