O PSD wants to “urgently” call the previous Finance Minister, Fernando Medina, to Parliament so that he can justify what the PSD says was “irresponsible and negligent” spending, recorded after the legislative elections.

This decision comes after the current Minister of Finance, Miranda Sarmento, estimated the deficit recorded until the end of the first quarter of this year at around 600 million euros and accused the previous Government of having increased spending after the last legislative elections. .

“The Government that, after the elections, authorizes expenses in the order of one billion euros, many of them without being appropriate, can only be described as an irresponsible and negligent government that wants to mortgage the future of those who should then govern the destinies of Portugal”, said Hugo Soares.
