House prices in Portugal remained stable in April compared to the previous month. According to the idealista price index, according to a note sent to our editors, buying a house had a cost of 2,622 euros per square meter (euros/m2) at the end of April this year, taking into account the median value.
Still, according to the same source, houses for sale became more expensive again in 15 district capitals, between March and April, with Portalegre leading the price rises (6%). The price in Évora rose 3.6% and in Beja 1%.
They analyze the data by District, according to Idealista, the Beja District recorded an increase of 2.6%. With increases of less than 1% are the Portalegre District (0.9%) and Évora (0.5%).
Finally, and by region, in the month of April, the prices of houses for sale increased in only three regions of the country. Leading the rises is the Autonomous Region of the Azores (2.9%), followed by the Autonomous Region of Madeira (1.7%) and Centro (1.2%). In the Algarve (0.4%), Alentejo (0.4%)North (0.4%) and Greater Lisbon (0.3%), prices remained stable during this period.
