The São Paulo Court ordered Alexandre Nardoni to leave the prison in Tremembé, in the interior of São Paulo, where he was imprisoned after the murder of his daughter, Isabela Nardoni, in 2008. The decision was published this Monday (6) and Nardoni could be released at any time. He must serve the remainder of the 30-year prison sentence he was sentenced to in an open regime.
According to the decision, progression to the open regime was requested by the defense and initially received an unfavorable opinion from the Public Ministry. Judge José Loureiro Sobrinho, however, considered that Nardoni maintains good conduct within prison, served more than half of his sentence and was taking advantage of temporary releases, returning without fail to the prison unit.

The judge orders the defendant to serve the remainder of his sentence at home, and must appear every three months at the Criminal Execution Court. Nardoni must remain at home between 8pm and 6am and can go out to work. He cannot go to bars, gambling houses or “other places incompatible with the benefit achieved”.
On March 29, 2008, Isabella de Oliveira Nardoni, then 5 years old, was thrown from the window of the building where her father, Alexandre Nardoni, lived with his wife, Anna Jatobá.
The couple even claimed that the crime was committed by an intruder in the apartment, but both were found guilty by the jury. Anna Carolina Jatobá was released in 2023, when she also progressed to the open regime. She left prison in June.
